CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES IN A JAR RECIPE:
Place a circle of patterned fabric (9" diameter will do it) under the ring
of the lid, or over top the lid secured by a rubber band. Put a ribbon and bow
of raffia or fabric around the ring of the lid overtop the rubber band. A hot
glue gun will be handy to add other decor.

1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup white sugar
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup brown sugar
Combine the flour, baking soda, white sugar and the chocolate chips. Place 1/2
of the mixture in a 1-quart wide-mouth canning jar and pack firmly. Place the
brown sugar on top, again packing firmly. Place the remaining flour mixture on
top. Cover with a lid.

Preheat oven to 375F. Empty contents of jar into bowl.
In separate bowl combine:
3/4 cup of butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
Beat until creamy. Add to dry mixture. Drop by tablespoonful onto an ungreased
cookie sheet and bake chocolate chip cookies in a preheated oven for 8-10
minutes.
Recipe makes 2 dozen large chocolate chip cookies.
