Low Fat Dutch Apple Cake
1 c All purpose flour
5 tb Sugar
1 ts Baking powder
2 tb Low fat margarine
2 ea Egg whites, slightly beaten
1/4 c Skim milk
1/2 ts Vanilla extract
4 c Sliced peeled apples
1 ts Ground cinnamon
Preheat oven 375F. Grease and flour a 9 in. tart or pie pan. In a
mixing bowl, combine flour, 2 T sugar and baking powder. With a pastry blender
or 2 knives, cut in 1 1/2 T margarine. Add egg whites, milk and vanilla; beat
until smooth. Batter will be stiff. Spoon into prepared pan and spread batter
to fit pan. Arrange apple slices, overlapping, in 2 concentric circles to cover
batter. In a small bowl, combine 3 T sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over apple
slices. Dot with 1/2 T margarine. Bake 30 min. Cool 10 min before serving. Only
2 g. Fat in this apple recipe!!!
Easy French Cake Recipe
1 pk Yellow cake mix
1 pk Jell-0 instant pudding -lemon flavor (4 serv. pkg.)
4 Eggs
1/2 c Water
1/3 c Oil
1/3 c Sour cream
1/2 c Raisins; chopped
1 c Tart apple; peeled & chopped
1/2 ts Cinnamon
1/4 ts Nutmeg
Preheat oven to 350F. Combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, water,
oil, and sour cream in large mixer bowl. Blend, then beat at medium speed of
electric mixer for 4 minutes. Combine raisins, apple, and spices. Mix well and
stir into batter. Pour into greased and floured 10-inch fluted tube pan. Bake
at 350F for 50-55 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center comes out
clean and cake begins to pull away from sides of pan. Do not underbake. Cool in
pan about 15 minutes. Remove from pan and finish cooling on rack.
Top with Tart Lemon Glaze. TART LEMON GLAZE: Place
1 tablespoon softened butter or margarine in small bowl. Gradually stir in 1
cup sifted confectioners sugar blending well. Add 1 tablespoons lemon juice.
Add 1 to 2 tsp. milk or water, a teaspoon at a time, until mixture is of glaze
consistency. Spread over top of cake and allow to run down sides. Makes about
1/2 cup or enough for a 10-inch tube or fluted tube cake or two 9 x 5-inch loaf
cakes. Wonderful recipe made with apples!!!
German Apple Cake
3 Eggs
2 c Sugar
2 tb Cinnaom
4 c Pipin Apples, peeled, sliced
8 oz Cream Cheese
3 tb Butter
1 c Oil
2 c Flour
1 ts Baking soda
1 c Nuts, chopped
1 ts Vanilla
1 1/2 c Powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350F. Beat eggs and oil in mixer until foamy. Add
and mix by hand, the sugar, flour, applies, cinnamon, baking soda and nuts.
Pour into a 9 x 13 inch pan and bake at 350F for 45-60 mins.
Recipe ICING: With a mixer, combine and beat well
the cream chees, vanilla, butter and powdered sugar, spread over cooled cake.
Enjoy this apple dessert!!
Jewish Apple Cake
3/4 c Sugar
1 ts Cinnamon
4 c Flour
2 c Sugar
1 ts Salt
4 ts Baking powder
1 c Orange juice
4 Eggs
1 c Cooking oil
6 Apples, peeled, cored and -sliced
Preheat oven to 350F. Mix three-fourths cup sugar and cinnamon;
set aside until needed. Combine flour, two cups sugar, salt and baking powder
and sift into mixing bowl. Make well in center. Add orange juice, eggs and oil.
Beat well. Pour half the batter into well greased tube (bunt) pan. Spread half
the apple slices over it and sprinkle with half the sugar-cinnamon m ixture.
Cover with the rest of recipe batter, top with remaining apples and sprinkle
with remaining sugar- cinnamon mixture. Bake in a 350F oven about 1 1/2 hours,
until cake is done.
New York Apple Cake
Non-stick spray coating
2/3 c Sugar
1/2 c Packed brown sugar
1/4 c Vegetable oil
3 Egg whites
2/3 c All-purpose flour
2/3 c Whole wheat flour
1/2 c Oat bran
1 1/2 ts Baking soda
1 ts Ground cinnamon
1/4 ts Ground nutmeg
3 c Shredded unpeeled apples
Powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350F. Spray a 13x9x2" baking pan with
non-stick coating and set aside. In a large mixing bowl combine sugars, oil and
egg whites. Beat with a wooden spoon until well blended. Add flours, oat bran,
baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg; stir until just moistened. Stir in shredded
apples. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake in a 350'F. oven for 25-30 minutes.
Cool, if desired, sift powdered sugar over cake. Very Good Recipe!!
Easy Sour Cream Apple Cake
1/2 c Butter or margarine softened
1 pk Yellow cake mix
1/2 c Flaked coconut
1 cn Apples pie filling
1/2 c Sugar
1 ts Cinnamon
1 c Sour cream
1 Egg
Preheat oven 350F. Cut butter into dry cake mix with fork, mixture
will be crumbly. Mix in coconut. Pat mixture lightly into ungreased baking pan,
13 x 9 inches. build up slightly on the edges. Bake 10 minutes Arrange apple
slices on warm crust. Mix sugar cinnamon; sprinkle on apples. Blend sour cream
and beaten egg" drizzle over apple and cinnamon mixture. (This mixture
will not completely cover apples, is more of a drizzle than topping.) Bake
additional 25 minutes till edges are light golden brown. Do not overbake. Serve
warm. Try it with French Vanilla IceCream - awesome recipe.
Coffee Apple Cake
2 c All purpose flour
1 1/2 c Sugar
2 ts Cinnamon
2 ts Baking soda
1 ts Salt
1/2 c Oil
2 ea Eggs
1/4 c Coffee
1 1/2 ts Vanilla
2 1/2 c Sliced peeled apples
1 c Chopped nuts
Mix all the recipe ingredients together and bake at 350F for 60
minutes. So easy, So good!!
Deep Dish Apple Cobbler Recipe
5 lg Granny smith apples, - sliced thinly
2 tb Sugar
1/2 ts Ground cinnamon
1/4 ts Ground nutmeg
2 ts Lemon juice
2 lg Eggs
1 c Sugar
2 tb Butter or margarine, melted
1 ts Vanilla extract
1 c All-purpose flour
1 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Salt
Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl, stirring to coat apple
slices; pour into a lightly greased 8-inch square baking dish.
Beat eggs and sugar at medium speed with an electric mixer until blended. Add
butter and vanilla, beating until smooth.
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; fold into egg mixture. Spread over
apple slices. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve with
whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
