Low Fat Dutch Apple Cake
1 c All purpose flour
5 tb Sugar
1 ts Baking powder
2 tb Low fat margarine
2 ea Egg whites, slightly beaten
1/4 c Skim milk
1/2 ts Vanilla extract
4 c Sliced peeled apples
1 ts Ground cinnamon
Preheat oven 375F. Grease and flour a 9 in. tart or pie pan. In a
mixing bowl, combine flour, 2 T sugar and baking powder. With a pastry blender
or 2 knives, cut in 1 1/2 T margarine. Add egg whites, milk and vanilla; beat
until smooth. Batter will be stiff. Spoon into prepared pan and spread batter
to fit pan. Arrange apple slices, overlapping, in 2 concentric circles to cover
batter. In a small bowl, combine 3 T sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over apple
slices. Dot with 1/2 T margarine. Bake 30 min. Cool 10 min before serving. Only
2 g. Fat in this apple recipe!!!
Easy French Cake
1 pk Yellow cake mix
1 pk Jell-0 instant pudding -lemon flavor (4 serv. pkg.)
4 Eggs
1/2 c Water
1/3 c Oil
1/3 c Sour cream
1/2 c Raisins; chopped
1 c Tart apple; peeled & chopped
1/2 ts Cinnamon
1/4 ts Nutmeg
Preheat oven to 350F. Combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, water,
oil, and sour cream in large mixer bowl. Blend, then beat at medium speed of
electric mixer for 4 minutes. Combine raisins, apple, and spices. Mix well and
stir into batter. Pour into greased and floured 10-inch fluted tube pan. Bake
at 350F for 50-55 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center comes out
clean and cake begins to pull away from sides of pan. Do not underbake. Cool in
pan about 15 minutes. Remove from pan and finish cooling on rack.
Top with Tart Lemon Glaze. TART LEMON GLAZE: Place
1 tablespoon softened butter or margarine in small bowl. Gradually stir in 1
cup sifted confectioners sugar blending well. Add 1 tablespoons lemon juice.
Add 1 to 2 tsp. milk or water, a teaspoon at a time, until mixture is of glaze
consistency. Spread over top of cake and allow to run down sides. Makes about
1/2 cup or enough for a 10-inch tube or fluted tube cake or two 9 x 5-inch loaf
cakes. Wonderful recipe made with apples!!!
German Apple Cake
3 Eggs
2 c Sugar
2 tb Cinnaom
4 c Pipin Apples, peeled, sliced
8 oz Cream Cheese
3 tb Butter
1 c Oil
2 c Flour
1 ts Baking soda
1 c Nuts, chopped
1 ts Vanilla
1 1/2 c Powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350F. Beat eggs and oil in mixer until foamy. Add
and mix by hand, the sugar, flour, applies, cinnamon, baking soda and nuts.
Pour into a 9 x 13 inch pan and bake at 350F for 45-60 mins.
Recipe ICING: With a mixer, combine and beat well
the cream chees, vanilla, butter and powdered sugar, spread over cooled cake.

Jewish Apple Cake
3/4 c Sugar
1 ts Cinnamon
4 c Flour
2 c Sugar
1 ts Salt
4 ts Baking powder
1 c Orange juice
4 Eggs
1 c Cooking oil
6 Apples, peeled, cored and -sliced
Preheat oven to 350F. Mix three-fourths cup sugar and cinnamon;
set aside until needed. Combine flour, two cups sugar, salt and baking powder
and sift into mixing bowl. Make well in center. Add orange juice, eggs and oil.
Beat well. Pour half the batter into well greased tube (bunt) pan. Spread half
the apple slices over it and sprinkle with half the sugar-cinnamon m ixture.
Cover with the rest of recipe batter, top with remaining apples and sprinkle
with remaining sugar- cinnamon mixture. Bake in a 350F oven about 1 1/2 hours,
until cake is done.
New York Apple Cake
Non-stick spray coating
2/3 c Sugar
1/2 c Packed brown sugar
1/4 c Vegetable oil
3 Egg whites
2/3 c All-purpose flour
2/3 c Whole wheat flour
1/2 c Oat bran
1 1/2 ts Baking soda
1 ts Ground cinnamon
1/4 ts Ground nutmeg
3 c Shredded unpeeled apples
Powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350F. Spray a 13x9x2" baking pan with
non-stick coating and set aside. In a large mixing bowl combine sugars, oil and
egg whites. Beat with a wooden spoon until well blended. Add flours, oat bran,
baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg; stir until just moistened. Stir in shredded
apples. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake in a 350'F. oven for 25-30 minutes.
Cool, if desired, sift powdered sugar over cake. Very Good Recipe!!
Easy Sour Cream Apple Cake
1/2 c Butter or margarine softened
1 pk Yellow cake mix
1/2 c Flaked coconut
1 cn Apples pie filling
1/2 c Sugar
1 ts Cinnamon
1 c Sour cream
1 Egg
Preheat oven 350F. Cut butter into dry cake mix with fork, mixture
will be crumbly. Mix in coconut. Pat mixture lightly into ungreased baking pan,
13 x 9 inches. build up slightly on the edges. Bake 10 minutes Arrange apple
slices on warm crust. Mix sugar cinnamon; sprinkle on apples. Blend sour cream
and beaten egg" drizzle over apple and cinnamon mixture. (This mixture
will not completely cover apples, is more of a drizzle than topping.) Bake
additional 25 minutes till edges are light golden brown. Do not overbake. Serve
warm. Try it with French Vanilla IceCream - awesome recipe.
Coffee Apple Cake
2 c All purpose flour
1 1/2 c Sugar
2 ts Cinnamon
2 ts Baking soda
1 ts Salt
1/2 c Oil
2 ea Eggs
1/4 c Coffee
1 1/2 ts Vanilla
2 1/2 c Sliced peeled apples
1 c Chopped nuts
Mix all the recipe ingredients together and bake at 350F for 60
minutes. So easy, So good!!
Deep Dish Apple Cobbler Recipe
5 lg Granny smith apples, - sliced thinly
2 tb Sugar
1/2 ts Ground cinnamon
1/4 ts Ground nutmeg
2 ts Lemon juice
2 lg Eggs
1 c Sugar
2 tb Butter or margarine, melted
1 ts Vanilla extract
1 c All-purpose flour
1 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Salt
Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl, stirring to coat apple
slices; pour into a lightly greased 8-inch square baking dish.
Beat eggs and sugar at medium speed with an electric mixer until blended. Add
butter and vanilla, beating until smooth.
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; fold into egg mixture. Spread over
apple slices. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve with
whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Cinnamon/Apple Cake
2 c All-purpose flour
3/4 c Whole-wheat flour
2 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Baking soda
2 ts Cinnamon
1 ts Freshly grated nutmeg
1/2 ts Salt
1 1/4 c Granulated sugar
1/2 c Oil
1 Egg
2 Egg whites
Vanilla
1 c Apple juice
3 (8-ozs each) large apples, -Golden Delicious or Granny -Smiths, peeled and
thinly Sliced
1/2 c Chopped walnuts
Powdered sugar
Frozen vanilla yogurt, -optional
Preheat oven to 350F. In large bowl mix flours, baking powder,
baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Stir to mix well. In mixing bowl beat
sugar and oil until combined. Add egg, egg whites and vanilla and beat 1
minute. (Save remaining yolks for another use.) Beat in apple juice. Add flour
mixture, using low speed just until mixed. Stir in apple slices and walnuts.
Pour into generously greased and floured 10-inch tube pan or 12-cup bundt pan.
Smooth surface and place in center rack of oven. Bake at 350F 45 to 50 minutes,
or until wood pick comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes on rack and gently remove
from pan. Dust with powdered sugar, pressed through fine sieve. Serve warm.
Note: Recipe best with sweet apple and served

Easy Grilled Apple Crisp
21 oz Pie filling, apple
1/3 c Sugar, brown; packed
1/2 ts Cinnamon
1/4 ts Nutmeg
2 tb Lemon juice
1/2 pk Cake mix, yellow (18.5 oz)
1/2 c Butter or margarine; cut in
Whipped topping or ice cream
Spray 9-inch baking pan with PAM. Pour pie filling into 9-inch
baking pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
Sprinkle cake mix over pie filling to cover. Dot with butter slices.
Preheat grill on medium for 10 minutes, then turn left side of grill off and
invert a baking pan on left cooking grid. Place baking pan on inverted pan.
Close lid and bake recipe 55-65 minutes, or until crisp is browned and bubbly.
Let stand until warm. Serve topped with whipped topping or ice cream.
Basic Apple Crisp Recipe
5 Apples, peeled and sliced
1 c Brown Sugar
3/4 c Quaker Oats
3/4 c Flour
1 ts Cinnamon
1 ts Nutmeg
1 ea Stick Butter, softened
1/4 c Apple Juice, or water
Preheat oven to 375F. Put half of the apples in a greased
9"x9" pan. Blend together remaining ingredients, except juice, and
crumble half the flour mixture over the apples. Cover with remaining apples and
flour mixture. Pour juice over top. Bake 35 minutes. Recipe is great with
vanilla ice cream.
Cinnamon Apple Crisp
1 tb Red cinnamon candies
1 c Boiling water
6 md Apples, peeled, cored and -thinly sliced
1 pk Moist Deluxe White Cake Mix
1 c Light brown sugar,firmly -packed
1/2 c Butter or margarine, melted
Frozen whipped topping(thaw)
Crushed red cinnamon candies
Mint leaves, for garnish
Preheat oven to 350F. Dissolve 1 tablespoon cinnamon candies in
boiling water. arrange apple slices in ungreased 13x9x2" pan. Pour
cinnamon flavored water over top. Combine recipe cake mix, brown sugar and
melted butter in large bowl. Stir until thoroughly blended. ( Mixture will be
crumbly.) Sprinkle crumbs over apple slices. Bake at 350 F for 50-55 minutes or
until lightly browned and bubbly. Serve with whipped topping, crushed cinnamon
candies and mint leaves, if desired. TIP:You can
substitute 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for the 1 tablespoon red cinnamon
candies. stir into cake mix.
Classic Apple Crisp Recipe
1/4 c Brown sugar
1 tb Flour
1/4 ts Cinnamon
8 md Apples; peeled, chopped
1/2 c Flour
3/4 c Rolled oats
1/2 c Brown sugar
1/4 c Butter; melted
Preheat oven to 350F. In small bowl, stir 1/4 cup brown sugar with
1 tbsp flour and cinnamon. Toss with apples and place in 8" (2L) baking
dish. Stir 1/2 cup flour with rolled oats and 1/2 cup brown sugar, and slowly
stir in 1/4 cup melted butter. Spread over apple mixture. Bake the recipe at
350F for 35 mins or until tender.
Cranberry & Apple Crisp
4 3/4 c Apples, peeled, cored, diced
1/4 c Raw sugar
1 1/2 c Fresh cranberries
Crumble 1/3 c Butter or margarine
1/2 c Sunflower seeds
1/4 c Raw cane or demerara sugar
1 1/4 c Whole-wheat flour
1 c Oatmeal
Preheat oven 350F. Cook apples in a saucepan with the sugar and
about 2 tbs water until slightly softened. Add the cranberries and cook for a
further minute. Remove from heat.
Melt butter or margarine and add the sunflower seeds. Fry gently for a few
minutes. Meanwhile, mix together the other ingredients in a large bowl, rubbing
in the sugar if lumpy. Pour in the butter and sunflower seeds and combine to
form a loose mixture. Place the fruit in a large, shallow ovenproof dish and
sprinkle the crisp topping over. Cook at 350F for about 40 minutes or until the
top is golden and crisp. Bake recipe 50 mins.
Microwave Apple Crisp
4 md Tart apples, pared and cut - into chunks
1/4 c Light margarine, melted
1/2 c Brown sugar
1/4 c Whole wheat flour
1/4 c Quick rolled oats
1 ts Ground cinnamon
1/2 ts Ground nutmeg
Vanilla ice milk or frozen - low-fat yogurt
Arrange apple chunks in 8x8x2-inch mirowave dish. In separate bowl,
mix margarine, oatmeal, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg; blend
thoroughly. Sprinkle mixture over apples. Microwave recipe on high setting for
10 to 12 minutes, until apples are tender. Top with vanilla ice milk or frozen
low-fat yogurt, if desired.

1/3 c Sifted all-purpose flour
1 c Quaker Oats, uncooked -- (quick or old-fashioned)
1/2 c Brown sugar, firmly packed
